Harry Kim woke up. Why was it so dark? Where was he? Then he remembered, he was in the turbolift. Oh my god, where's the Captain? He heard someone groaning beside him. She sounded as if she were in excruciating pain.

"Harry?"

"Captain, I'm here are you Okay?"

"Yeah. I think so. What the hell happened?"

"I don't know. Ensign Kim to the bridge."

No response. He was really beginning to wonder what the hell was going on. Captain Janeway was moaning again. She was a tough lady, something had to be really wrong with her.

"Ensign Kim to sickbay." *No answer. Shit, this can't be good.*

"Captain? Are you sure you're okay?"

That's when it happened. The pain got ten times worse. She felt something wet beneath her and she realized to her own horror that she was losing the baby.

*Oh god, why now. I haven't even had the chance to tell Chakotay that I was pregnant.*

He saw the Captain bleeding, and bleeding a lot. *What the hell's wrong with her?*

Then he heard someone in the turbolift shaft, the doors opened to reveal Tom and Chakotay.

"Guys hurry up, there's something seriously wrong with the Captain. She's completely non-responsive."

"Okay Harry calm down. We'll get her to sickbay and she'll be fine, you just wait and see."

Commander Chakotay entered the turbolift. *Oh my god Kathryn, you have to be Okay. You just have to.*

That's when Kathryn regained consciousness. Only momentarily but she had to tell him something, she felt the darkness closing in on her.

"Chakotay, I'm sorry."

And with that the darkness consumed her and she wondered if she would ever see the light again.
